Stocks still have a fundamental problem
Chief Investment Office, Rob Kantor, contributed to a recent Wealth of Geeks article regarding the stock market’s recent choppy waters. “To reach new highs, you must pass through old highs. The market takes the stairs up but will take the elevator down, and we are in the mode right now where we can easily have a 5% correction in a few days.” Rob said. He also mentions a potential market shift towards value. “Value is still lagging behind the year-to-date-performance but has narrowed the gap recently.” Its important to remember that despite market shifts and uncertainty staying the course and looking at the long-term is the best course of action. XML Financial Group Named to USA Today’s List of Best Financial Advisory Firms for 2024
BETHESDA, MD (24 April 2024) – XML Financial Group (“XML”), an independent wealth and investment management firm with offices in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Colorado, has been named to the USA Today list of the Best Financial Advisory Firms for 2024, marking the second consecutive year of this recognition.
“We are truly honored to once again be recognized by USA Today as one of the nation’s top financial advisory firms,” said Brett Bernstein, CEO and Co-founder of XML. “Being included on this list highlights our dedication to supporting every aspect of our client relationships and helping to simplify their finances so they can focus on what matters most.”
USA Today developed the list in tandem with independent market research and data firm Statista. More than 30,000 Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firms were considered by Statista. The final list, recognizing the top 500 firms, was built on a robust evaluation framework centered around two key dimensions: recommendations by financial advisors, clients and industry experts, and a firm’s development of assets under management (AUM).
XML did not apply for or pay a fee for consideration or inclusion on the USA Today list. The list was compiled by an independent research firm querying individuals. The full methodology for the Best Financial Advisory Firms of 2024 list can be found here.

Congratulations to Our Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors for 2024
BETHESDA, MD – The Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors for 2024 was released and two of our advisors have been named to this prestigious list in both Virginia and Pennsylvania. These lists are designed to recognize advisors who have demonstrated a track record of success and growth across the various skill sets it takes to be a wealth advisor. Each list is decided by multivariate analysis, weighing a variety of factors across thousands of firms. Congratulations to our advisors for this well-deserved honor! See the advisors featured here. Coverage period is 2023 and data as of June 30, 2023. This ranking, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria learned through telephone, virtual and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data such as revenue trends and assets under management. The algorithm additionally weighs factors such as service models, compliance records and industry experience, and focuses on those that encompass best practices in their approach to working with clients. All advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years experience. Portfolio performance is not a criterion due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK receive a fee in exchange for rankings. Remember, past performance is not an indication of future results. For more information, please see SHOOKresearch.com.

Data as of December 31, 2021. Coverage period is 2021. America’s Top Registered Investment Advisor Firms ranking was developed by SHOOK Research and is based on data submitted by the participant, in-person, virtual or telephone due diligence meetings and a ranking algorithm that includes: a measure of best practices, client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations; and quantitative criteria, including assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Investment performance is not a criterion because client objectives and risk tolerance vary, and advisors rarely have audited performance reports. Neither SHOOK nor Forbes receive compensation from XML in exchange for its Registered Investment Advisor Firm placements or rankings, which are determined independently. Participation in this directory is limited to ranked firms; once placed on a ranking, firms may choose to pay fees to Forbes and Shook for premium listing features as indicated by highlighted names. XML paid no such fees. SHOOK’s research and rankings provide opinions intended to help investors choose the right financial advisor or firm and not indicative of future performance or representative of any one client’s experience. Investors must carefully choose the right advisor or firm for their own situation and perform their own due diligence. XML Financial Group Named To 2020 Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers
XML Financial Group is pleased to announce it has been named to the 2020 edition of the Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers.
The list recognizes top independent RIA firms from across the U.S.
As of December 31, 2019. Coverage period is 2019. Eligibility criteria: SEC registered RIAs with over $300 million of AUM. The FT 300 assesses registered investment advisers based on desirable traits for investors. The Financial Times presents the FT 300 as an elite group, not a competitive ranking of one to 300. They believe this is the fairest way to identify the industry’s elite advisers while accounting for the companies’ different approaches and specializations. The formula the FT uses to grade advisers is based on six broad factors and calculates a numeric score for each adviser. Areas of consideration include AUM, asset growth, the company’s age, industry certifications of key employees, SEC compliance record and online accessibility. XML did not pay to participate in said ranking. For more information and to view the entire list, please read more here.
